KRISTINA (Kristi) MARIE CAMPBELL, 42, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Barnes Hospital in St Louis.

A Celebration of Life will be from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Teal Lake Shelter in Mexico.

Kristi was born on June 22, 1980, in Mexico, and is the daughter of Dwight (Marty) Campbell of Mexico and Susan Shelby of Jefferson City, MO.  She previously received a second chance at life through the gift of a heart on May 31, 2017, that was received from Aaron Johnson, son of Robin Lamb of Springfield, MO.

She is survived by two children, Kierra Kelly (24) of Kansas City, MO and Houston Crow (14) of Mexico.  She happily just celebrated the arrival of her first grandchild, Haisley Biggs on September 3Oth.

Kristi is survived by her brother, James Campbell of Mexico; maternal grandmother, Kathleen (Roy) Stiers of Fulton; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.  Let's not forget her faithful pit/mixed dog, Zeus, who never left her side.

Kristi was a second Mom to many children over the years who were friends of her children, Kierra and Houston. Her home was always a safe haven and she always welcomed her friends and family.  She had a very giving heart.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Kenneth Hill of Mexico; and paternal grandparents, Robert Bonsall and Joyce Harvey, both of Mexico.

Being a lifelong resident of Mexico, she was well known in town and loved by those who were closest to her.
