Kevin was born on June 30, 1960, in Mexico, the son of Clyde William and Darlene Elizabeth (Peery) Cash. On October 12, 2002, in High Hill, he married Laura Kleinsorge.

Kevin was a 1978 graduate of Mexico High School and then served in the United States Air Force as an Air Cargo Specialist. During which time he received an Outstanding Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal, and Longevity service Award Ribbon.

Kevin had 30 years of EMS service. He began his career as an EMT at Audrain Medical Center. Kevin advanced his career to Paramedic while working for Audrain Ambulance Service and Montgomery County Ambulance District. As Director of Audrain Ambulance District, Kevin oversaw the construction of two ambulance bases located in Mexico and at Scott's Corner. Throughout his career, Kevin saved countless lives and received numerous accolades both from individuals and professionally. Kevin retired in 2019 proudly leaving the district in good standings for the future. He also, was a member of the Missouri EMS Funeral Response Team, which honors fellow EMS colleagues and provides comfort to their families. He has served on their board for several years and was on his second term as Board President. In addition, Kevin was Deputy Coroner for Audrain County for several years.

As an avid golfer, Kevin had four Hole-In-Ones credited to his name. If you asked his grandkids "Where is Grandpa?" They would say "Grandpa is golfing", regardless of the season. Kevin was currently serving as a board member for Arthur Hills Golf Course. When Kevin wasn't chasing another Hole-In-One on the golf course with his friends, he enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with family. One of his many outdoor passions was deer hunting.
