Kenneth Kimball Penn, 86, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Pin Oaks Living Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Arnold Funeral Home. Marvin Rodenbaugh will be officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 5, at the Arnold Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born on December 9, 1937 in St. Charles, the son of Kenneth and Irene (Langford) Penn.  On November 16, 1991 he married Alice (Cooper) Anderson who preceded him in death on July 28, 2022.

Kenneth was a 1955 graduate of Mexico Senior High School.  He attended the University of Missouri before joining the Air Force in 1959. Kenneth was stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany for three years, then served in the reserves before being discharged in 1965.  He worked at National Refractories for 35 yrs, retiring on January 7, 2000.

Kenneth was a truly special person, known for his loving, generous, kind, and loyal nature, always sharing his good sense of humor with those around him. Kenneth was a devout follower of the Lord and an active member of the Auxvasse Christian Church. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Alice, in their RV to attend bluegrass shows and was a passionate racing enthusiast, often traveling to races across the country with close friends. Kenneth had a love for sports, watching auto racing, football, women's college basketball, and the WNBA. A true people person, he cherished socializing and often enjoyed his time at the Mexico Senior Center. Kenneth had a deep love for dogs, having many beloved companions throughout his life. His kindness, humor, and vibrant spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include two sisters, Carole Stone of Phoenix, AZ and Anne Allison of Mexico; one niece, Cindy Allison of Mexico; two nephews, Greg (Kathy) Stone of Glendale, AZ and Kevin (Beth) Stone of Glendale, AZ; four great-nephews, Chris, Nick, Shawn and Steven Stone and families of Arizona; one sister-in-law, Joan Pannell of Boonville and her children, George Pannell, Jr. of Boonville, JoLynn (Marty) Spurgeon of Warsaw and Peg Pannell Smith of Rockwall, TX and their families.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers-in-law, Marvin Allison, Raymond Stone and George Pannell; one nephew Jeffrey Allison and great-nephew, Scott Stone.
