Julia Ann Kelch, 84, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 20, 2026 at the Mexico United Methodist Church.

Julia was born on August 29, 1941 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Violet (Peshel) Randall. On January 13, 1986 she married Robert Kelch in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Julia found great joy in serving others through her gift of crocheting, lovingly creating prayer shawls that brought comfort, encouragement, and warmth to those in need. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she was a devoted member of Mexico United Methodist Church, where she actively participated in worship and cherished the friendships and spiritual growth she found in her Bible study group. Julia's compassionate heart, steadfast faith, and quiet acts of kindness left a lasting impact on her church family and all who were blessed to know her.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Kelch of Mexico; one daughter, Lisa Maxon of Lake St. Louis; one son, Aaron Maxon of Spartanburg, SC.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Violet Randall and one sister, LaVonne Getschmann.
