Joseph Scott Wagner, 49, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Tennova Healthcare Newport Medical Center in Newport, Tennessee.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 16 at Arnold Funeral Home.

Mr. Wagner was born on June 8, 1972 in Mexico, the son of Arthur Wagner and the late Kathleen Wagner (Blaisdell).

Joseph was a resilient man who overcame many challenges in his life.  He was extremely loyal to his family and friends.  Joseph would spend the majority of his free time with his sons and grandson.  Their favorite activities together were fishing and cooking.  Joseph was a talented artist.  He enjoyed drawing, playing music and writing poetry.  Joseph was able to travel to many states as an over the road truck driver for Callaway Carriers.

Survivors include his father, Arthur Wagner of Mexico; two sons, Charlie Wagner of Mexico, Michael Wagner of Mexico; one grandson, Mateo T. Wagner of Mexico; five brothers, Glenn Wagner of Mexico, Wesley Wise of Mexico, Jeremy Watson of Mexico, Nick Watson of Columbia and Chad Jeffries of Mexico; one sister, Leah Blaisdell of Wellsville and a step-mother, Ramona Wagner, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Blaisdell.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Toys for Tots. Donations can be dropped off at Flowmaster Construction, 209 W. Promedade, Mexico, Missouri.
