Joseph Shadrick Bailey II, 64, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Joseph was born on January 13, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Joseph Shadrick Bailey Sr. and Elena R. Hanegan.

In earlier years, Joseph worked as a roughneck on oil rigs. He later was a welder and fabricator for Maxwell Trailers. He had also worked for Mexico Plastics.

Mr. Bailey was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Columbia, where he had many great friends. He loved motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons.

Survivors include his son, Joseph Bailey III of Mexico; his daughter, Kay Marie Bailey of Mexico; granddaughter, Makenna See of Holts Summit; great-grandson, Colter See; one brother, Darvin Bailey of Texas; and three sisters, Joyce Krautsack of New York, Yolanda Bates of Boone County, and Lola Bailey of the State of Washington.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents.

Private services will be held by the family.
