John Andrew Williams, aka Jackie, 76, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 3, at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, December 3, from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Jackie was born on January 16, 1945 in Mexico, the son of Clarence Clifford and Nola Frances Stoner Williams. On June 16, 1967 in Mexico, he married Barbara Ruth Jennings.

Mr. Williams was a 1963 graduate of Mexico Senior High School. He worked for Kaisers/National Refractories for over 30 years. He had also worked for McGee Packing, City of Mexico, I-line and the Missouri Military Academy.  He was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church.

His hobbies included all sports, especially football and baseball. The Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals were his favorite teams to watch.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Williams of the home; his children, Jackie Lee Jennings-Williams of Columbia, Terry Andrew Jennings-Williams of Columbia, Timmy Eugene Williams of Columbia, Penny Marie (David) Jacobs of Mexico, Carla Ann Williams of Mexico, Carlos Epps of Minnesota, Tonya Kay Williams of Mexico and Mary Rosalind Williams of Mexico; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five brothers, Edward (Patricia) Williams, Clifford Williams, Jr., Nathaniel (Lynetta) Williams, Randy (Teresa) Williams and David Wayne Fisher, all of Mexico; one sister, Carolyn Sue (Charles) Tate of Chicago; sister-in-law, Maxine Williams of Mexico; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Jerry Williams, James Robert Long, Elmer Joe Williams, Clarence Eugene Williams and Robert Lee Williams; one sister, Martha Louise Jefferson; one sister-in-law, Mary Williams; one grandson, Ta'Juan DeMarr Williams; three nephews and one great-niece.
