Jody Lane Owen, 68, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Pin Oaks Living Center.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at Arnold Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Alvord officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Jody was born on February 27, 1956, in Mexico, the daughter of Fred L. and Norma J. (Wren) Batty. She attended Mexico Public Schools and upon graduation, she started employment with Audrain Medical Center, retiring in 2018. For many years, Jody was on a number of bowling league teams on Friday Night. She also served as a member of the Dream Factory of Audrain County.

Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer (Jakwaun) McPike; her little ones that made her MeMaw: Ava, Marlee, Ian and Jru Owen, all of Mexico; two sisters, Jackie (David) Fuller of North Carolina and Kelly (Terry) Hopkins of Silex; numerous nieces and nephews; and her good friends, Ann Bruce and Lydia Willis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, one sister, Joyce (Gary) Utterback; and two brothers, Michael Batty and Steven Batty.

Memorial donations may be made to the Dream Factory of Audrain County.
