Joan Marie Wilson, 76, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at her daughters home.

Private services will be held for the family.

Joan was born on February 21, 1949 in Mexico, the daughter of Hubert and Dorothy (Smith) Wilson.

Joan found joy in life's simple pleasures—spending quiet moments watching her favorite game shows and nurturing the beauty of her rose bushes. A devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church, her faith was a guiding light. As the owner of a day care, Joan not only touched the lives of many children but also cherished the opportunity to care for her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to her, and nothing brought her more happiness than gathering loved ones around the table for a family dinner—those moments lit up her spirit and brought a sparkle to her eye.

Survivors include two children, Michael (Tiffany) Landis of Mexico and Michelle (William Howard) Landis of Mexico; two grandchildren, Nicholas (Maddie) Landis of Columbia and Haylee (Ryan) Lunsford of Mexico; 11 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brantley, Daxton, Avery, Addy, Everlee, Haven, Hunter, Charlotte, Winnie and Gracie; one brother, Harold Wilson of Mexico and one sister, Judy Forsee of Mexico.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Dorothy Wilson and one great-granddaughter, Penelope Lunsford.
