Jewell Lige Fleetwood, 69, of Mexico, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, at Friendship Baptist Church in Mexico.

Jewell was born on July 14, 1955, in St. Louis, the son of Jewell and Nellie (Ousley) Fleetwood.

Mr. Fleetwood worked most of his life as a mechanic and attended Friendship Baptist Church in Mexico. He had a great love of music, playing the guitar and singing. He was a collector of many things and enjoyed walking in nice weather.

Survivors include one son, Joseph Jewell Fleetwood of Moberly; three daughters, Julie Brankov of East St. Louis, Lacey (Jason) Fleetwood of Higbee, and Emily (Drew) Fleetwood-Smith of Mexico; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dale Fleetwood of Perryville and Jerry (Helen) Fleetwood of Alabama; three sisters, Tina Watkins of St. Clair, Fay (Harry) Wilson of Arnold, and Robin Fleetwood of Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jewell was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Richard Fleetwood; three brothers, J.D Fleetwood, Richard Fleetwood, and Vernon Fleetwood; and three sisters, Darlene Fleetwood, Sharon Cornwell, and Ina Barks.
