Jeremy Alan Blakely, 50, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at University of Missouri Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 2, at Arnold Funeral Home. Kevin Wilkerson will be officiating the service.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until time of service on Thursday, April 2, at the funeral home.

Jeremy was born on July 3, 1975 in Mexico, the son of Betty (Johnson) Blakely.  On December 29, 2011 he married Coltier Righter, the love of his life from their first date in 1995, in Mexico.

Jeremy found his greatest joy in the outdoors, whether he was hunting or casting a line for catfish—often from the quiet seat of his kayak. A dedicated and hard-working man, he never hesitated to set aside his own tasks to lend a hand to a friend or family member in need. He took pride in cruising around in his flashy blue Camaro or in his trucks—always preferring them loud and full of personality. A loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan, Jeremy also held a special place in his heart as an uncle, faithfully supporting his nieces, nephews, and loved ones at their many activities and events. He was a protector and a rescuer by nature, known for his playful teasing and his quiet yet fiercely deep love. Humble and steady, Jeremy left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Coltier Blakely of Mexico; his mother, Betty Blakely of Mexico; two sisters, Amy (Jeff) Hilderman of Mexico and Sarah (Zach) Taylor of Mexico, David Blakely of Mexico, as well as several nieces, nephews, friends, extended family members and his beloved dog, Scout.

The family requests memorial donations be made to https://gofund.me/25c78fdcd to support a friend's child who is battling cancer.
