Jason Robert McBurney, 20, of Thompson, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at his home.

Graveside Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 23, at Auxvasse Cemetery.

A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 5, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1300 S. Elmwood Drive, Mexico, MO 65265.

Jason was born on April 10, 2003, in Mexico. He attended school in Centralia and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Betty McBurney of the home; his biological mother, Heather (Scott) Hudson of Mexico; uncle, Bobby Gordon of Mexico; aunt, Ashley Brumback of Centralia; two sisters, Kaila Browning and Zoey Gilman, both of Mexico; cousins, Kya Brumback and Wade Brumback, both of Centralia; three great-aunts, Dorothy Garland of Jonesburg, Mary Clark of Macon and Juanita Bylo of Jonesburg; and many other cousins.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Robert McBurney; and grandmother, Elizabeth "Jeanne" Browning.
