Jarod Dustin Willingham, 47, of Auxvasse, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at his home.

Memorial Services will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, at Arnold Funeral Home with Kevin Wilkerson officiating.  Visitation is Wednesday from 5 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Jarod was born on October 3, 1976, in Mexico, the son of Carl Willingham Sr. and Norma Sue (Sampson) Willingham. He was a graduate of Mexico High School.

In 1998, he and Julie Newbrough had a child together named Gage. In 2010, Jarod married Bobbi Love. They remained friends and she was a strong support in his life.

Jarod had worked at the Fulton State Hospital for 21 years. He really enjoyed his job. He was a member of the Mexico Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing poker, riding motorcycles and fishing.

Survivors include his son, Gage Willingham of Mexico; his father, Carl Willingham, Sr. of Auxvasse; one brother, Carl (Wendy) Willingham, Jr. of Columbia; two sisters, Tina (James) Hall of Mexico and Casey (Les) Rubemeyer of Vermont; nieces and nephews, Sophia and Sydney Willingham, Lilly and Logan Rubemeyer, Daniel and Tanner Womack, and Kobin Hall; and three aunts, Karla Newbrough of Mexico, Becky Shah of Mexico, and Delores Pulis of Moberly.

Jarod was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Sue Willingham; his grandparents, Curtis and Jean Sampson and Abe and Lizzie Willingham; and an aunt, Barbara Willingham.
