Jared Carl Allen, 47, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the University Hospital in Columbia.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Fairytale Events on Highway 15 in Mexico.

Jared was born on October 18, 1978 in Kansas City, Missouri. Jared was raised by Gary Dean Allen and Lorraine Allen.

Jared was the kind of man who made people feel safe just by being around him. He loved his family deeply and took great pride in being a dad, always putting those he loved first. Known as the strongest guy in the room, Jared carried that strength not only physically, but in his character as well. He was honest, dependable, and never afraid to speak his mind, yet his heart was just as big as his presence. No matter who needed help, Jared was always willing to lend a hand without expecting anything in return. He worked for Garrett Painting as a lead painter and also operated his own business, Allen Brothers Painting. Jared believed in working hard and doing things the right way, and people knew they could count on him. He will be remembered for his loyalty, his hard work, and the unwavering love he gave to his family and friends.

Jared is survived by his father and mother, Gary and Lorraine Allen of Mexico; two sons, Clint Allen of Mexico and Kenley Allen of Mexico; two daughters, Charlee Allen of Mexico and Paislee Allen of Mexico; one grandchild, Aspen Rose Allen; two brothers, Matthew Stembridge (Melissa) of Downs, Illinois and Christopher Stembridge (Kendy) of Bexley, Ohio; one grandma, Norma Allen DeTar of Coffeyville, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great friends.

Jared was preceded in death by one grandpa, Carl Kenley Allen; one grandma, Kathleen Susil Spicer; and one daughter, Parker Ann Allen.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
