Janice Kay (Havrum) Mills, 78, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is from 12 p.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Janice was born on December 9, 1944, in Fulton, the daughter of Elzie and Helen (Martin) Havrum. On January 19, 1963, in Fulton, she married Richard Austin Mills. He passed away on November 5, 2019.

Janice graduated from Fulton High School. She was part owner and operator of Town and Country Auction in Fulton for over 50 years. She also worked in the cafeteria at Mexico Public Schools and as a clerk in the Audrain County Treasurer's Office. Additionally, Janice and Richard ran Mills Auction Service for close to 60 years. She worked very hard and still managed to raise her five children.

Mrs. Mills was a member of Union Baptist Church. In her spare time, she really enjoyed going to the casino.

Survivors include five children, Rita (Mike) Ruder of McKinney, Texas, Kim (Pete) Engle of St. Charles, Rick Mills of Mexico, Lori Brandow of Moberly and Angela Mills of Mexico; nine grandchildren, Allyson Ruder, Paige Ruder, Hunter Engle, Kyle Engle, Jordan Mills (Shane Harris), Dylan (Paige) Mills, Megan Brandow, Jami (Dalton) Wilson and Tyler Brandow; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, David (Sydney) Havrum of Auxvasse.

In addition to her husband, Richard, Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie and Helen Havrum; one great-grandson, Bronson Harris; and one brother, Gary Havrum.
