Beloved Husband and Father, James Walter Wright, 80, of Osage Beach, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

James was born on November 23, 1945, in Mexico, Missouri, the son of Walter and Marilyn (Cox) Wright. On January 24th of 1969 in Mexico at Kentucky Road Christian Church, he married Peggy Gentry.

Mr. Wright was a graduate of Mexico High class of 1963. Years ago, he worked for Carroll’s and then had worked in Arlington, Texas, and Osage Beach. Jim served as President of the Seven Towers RC Club in Arlington, Texas, and also had a love for hot rods and boats.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Gentry Wright of the home; one daughter, Marilyn Louise Wright Lawrence and husband, Frank, of Covington, Texas; one son, James Ford Wright of San Francisco, California; and one granddaughter, Emily Lillian Lawrence.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marilyn Cox Wright; and grandparents, James and Frances Daniel Cox.
