Harry Hilton Powell, II, 59, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Callaway Christian Church in Fulton.  Following the visitation at 4:00 P.M., Mr. Powell's military service will be recognized with a military honors presentation.

Mr. Powell was born on October 1, 1962 in Hannibal, the son of Harry H. and Grace B. (Johnston) Powell, Sr.

Harry loved the country life.  He enjoyed horses and spending time fishing.  Harry was proud of the time he spent serving his country in the Army.  He wore the title of "Dad" with honor.  He didn't know a stranger, he accepted anyone.

Survivors include his wife, Myra Powell of Mexico; three sons, Jason (Christina) Vance of Mexico, Jacob Powell of Mexico, Kyle Whitworth of Mexico; one sister, Joyce (Monte) Thompson of Mexico; two brothers, William Powell of New London and Gary (Mary) Powell of Harvey, OK; 20 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, as well has his faithful dog, Princess Powell.

Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his parent, Harry H. and Grace B. Powell.
