Gwendolynn Louise "Gwen" Young, 88, of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the King's Daughters Home.

Gwen was born on December 27, 1935 in Goss, Missouri, the daughter of Ora Zell and Ruby Lynn (Dooley) Partin. On January 1, 1956 in Mexico, she married James Randall "Pap" Young. He passed away on September 11, 2020.

Mrs. Young graduated from Paris High School. She worked many years at Audrain Medical Center in medical records.

Gwen was a member of Centennial Baptist Church, where she helped with the children's library. She belonged to the Red Hat Society and was a member of a sorority. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and making macrame.

Survivors include three children, Robert Bruce (Cheryl) Young of Corvallis, Oregon, Randall Wayne (Kim) Young of Merriam, Kansas, and Janet (Harold) Strait of Mexico; two grandchildren, James David (Haley) Young of North Albany, Oregon, and Garrett Kimble (Hannah) Young of Salina, Kansas; and four great-grandchildren, Kellen Young, Sophia Young, Aiden Voldback, and Natalie Voldback.

In addition to her husband, Pap, Gwen was preceded in death by an infant son, Kevin Dean Young; and her parents.
