Gloria J. "Jeanie" Anderson, 82, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 16 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Phil Alvord officiating. Burial will follow in Auxvasse Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time of services at the church.

Gloria was born on July 10, 1940, in St. Louis, the daughter of James Clinton and Rosemary Florence (Bucholz) Furness. She married John Eugene Anderson on October 18, 1958, in Mexico. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2020.

Jeanie enjoyed reading and read hundreds, if not thousands of books over her lifetime. She enjoyed various crafts, particularly sewing and crocheting. She loved to have fun and was constantly making people laugh with a silly response or gesture. She gave her life to God at an early age and never wavered in her faith, even pulling up roots to support Gene's pursuit of a degree from Nazarene Bible College.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam (James) Martinez of Phoenix AZ; three grandchildren, Judson (Meghan) Seal, Jessica Marsh and Jonathan (Hollie) Seal all of AZ; six great-grandchildren, Kayden, Karson, Kenzie, Loyal, Grayson and Blake all of AZ; and one brother, John Dale (Kathleen) Furness of Ponte Vedra, FL.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rosemary Furness; her husband, Gene; and three infant children, Richard, John and Anna Anderson.
