George Joseph Fischer, 81, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at his home.

George was born on April 1, 1943, in Rush Hill, the son of Albert and Georgia Fischer. He married Linda Herron in 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; five children, Tony Fischer of Laddonia, Kevin Fischer of Wellsville, Mary (Rick) Funderburg of Springdale, AR, Travis (Lana) Fischer of Jonesboro, AR and Kelli Fischer (Leslie Harris) of Decatur, AL; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four siblings, Jane (C.W.) Ulry of Lawrence, KS, Dorothy (Bob) Agee of St. Joe, Rose (Bob) Carlson of Shell Knob and Johnny (Gloria) Fischer of Kimberling City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan; three grandchildren; and three siblings, Bobby Fischer, Betty and JoAnn.
