Gayle B. Fierge, 86, of Mexico, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Heritage Hall.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, at First United Pentecostal Church with burial to follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Gayle was born on July 22, 1935, in Fayette, the daughter of Paul and Susie (Ward) Dodson. She married Russell Fierge September 21, 1951, in Mexico. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2004.

Gayle enjoyed reading, flower and vegetable gardening, working crossword puzzles, spending time with family and going to church and attending church functions.

She is survived by eight children, Dale (Debbie) Fierge of Montgomery City, Jackie Fierge-Maxwell of Mexico, Julie Fierge-Camp of Haines City, FL, Phillip (Pam) Dodson of Pacific, John (Donna) Fierge of St. Charles, James (Robin) Fierge of Liberty, David (Marretta) Fierge of O'Fallon and Kevin (Mel) Fierge of Bellville, IL; daughter-in-law, Karen Fierge; 27 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, John Dodson of TX; two sisters, Martha Brown and Barbara Jerichow both of Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gayle is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Fierge; father, Paul Dodson; mother and step-father, Susie and Curtis Smith; son, Earl Fierge; siblings, Paul Dodson, Jr., David (Bessie) Dodson, Mabel (Lee) Blake, Linda (Bill) Davis and Carolyn Dodson; brothers-in-law, Terry Jerichow and Dawson Brown; and grandson, Cody Hanley.

Memorial may be made to First United Pentecostal Church. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson St., Mexico, MO 65265.
