Fredrick Dean Bowman, 83, of Gerald, passed away at his home on Monday, March 31, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4th, at Chapel Grove Cemetery in Clark. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5th, at Word of Life Church of the Nazarene, 12 Hoffert Street, Union, Missouri. Rev. Lori Dunn will officiate the services.

Fred was born on February 11, 1942 in Corridon-Reynolds County, Missouri, the son of Richard and Annona (Shipley) Bowman. On December 1, 2000, he married Stephanie Gayle White.

Fred dedicated 27 years of his career to Chrysler Corporation, retiring in 1994. Outside of work, he had a deep passion for hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He loved spending time on the shuffleboard courts and playing games with friends. He loved people and was a friend to all!

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Bowman of the home; two sons, Kevin Bowman of Washington, Missouri, and Scott (Wendy) Bowman of Seligman, Missouri; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Day of Hillsboro and Delores (Bobby) Loyd of Ellington; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers, Leroy, Larry, and Jerry Bowman; and one sister, Eva Landers.
