Franklin Denver Durham, 88, of Mexico, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023, at The Bluffs in Columbia.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8 at Clark's Chapel in Franklin. Clark's Chapel 6862 Rt. 87, Franklin, MO 65274
Franklin was born on June 19, 1935, in Molino, Missouri, the son of Flavous Monroe and Mary Marie (Graupman) Durham. He married Mary Glynetta "Glynn" Silvey on February 7, 1970, in Mexico.
Franklin served in the United States Navy for four years. He worked for Kaiser Refractory and retired from National Refractory. After retirement Franklin loved mowing yards. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch, having a few drinks, fishing and dancing at the VFW and Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Tidball (Robert Young) of Mexico and Charla Estill (Susan Barth) of New Franklin; one son, Keith Durham of Mexico; eight grandchildren, Phillip (Lisa) Armstrong of Columbia, Wendi Estill of Mexico, Tim Davis of Mexico, Shane (Amy) Estill of Mexico, Dylan (Melissa) Estill of New Franklin, Robert Harrison of Fulton, Denver Durham of Mexico, Cody Durham of Mexico; great-grandchildren, Ashley Kelsay, Austin kelsay, Collin Clement, Aaliah Shivers, Arreona Davis, Allison Mundy, Cha'mar Nickens, Ainsley Armstrong, Holly Estill, Grady Estill, Devon Estill, Amaya Estill, Breasia Estill, Carley Fox, Addison Fox, Samantha Martin, Collin Martin, Kaleb Allison, Mercedes Durham, Charlie Ann Durham, Alexis Durham; great-great grandchildren, Bryson Kelsay, Logan Metheny and Owen Methey; and one sister, Barbara Baysinger.
Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, Flavous and Mary Durham; one son, Ronald G. Estill; one grandson, Arron Davis; one granddaughter-in-law, Ronica Davis; and one brother, Jack Durham.
