Eunice Elizabeth Welschmeyer, 95 of Martinsburg Missouri, passed away at 7:50pm, Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Born November 17, 1927 to Lawrence and Leona (Fennewald) Arens. She was united in marriage to Stephen Hubert Welschmeyer on November 23, 1950 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg. They would spend all of thier lives in Martinsburg and over 67 years together.
As a devout Catholic, Eunice was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Ladies Sodality, the Circle of Friends and served on the St. Joseph Cemetery Board. As a dedicated housewife and mother, she loved being with family and treasured all of her grandchildren. Eunice enjoyed sewing, hardanger embroidery and crocheting. She shared her talents with her daughters, sisters, granddaughters, friends and many 4-H members throughout the years.
Eunice is survived by six children, David (Sharon DeTienne) Welschmeyer, Martinsburg, Valerie (Steve) Doerr, Joplin, Vickie Robinson, Montgomery City, Venita (Rick) Thomas, Mexico, Darrell Welschmeyer, Martinsburg and Vanessa (James) Kerr, Mexico; seventeen grandchildren, Genevieve Welschmeyer, Sarah Welschmeyer, Mark (Amanda) Welschmeyer, Danielle Doerr, Stephanie (Jonathan) Wilburn, Suzanne (Terry) Morris, Kamela (Garry) Crum, Michael (Ashten) Robinson, Andrea Thomas, Valerie (Tyler) Williamson, Jessica (Sami) Jenedi, Matthew Thomas, Rachael, Olivia, Grace, Vivian and Stephen Kerr; ten great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers; Marian (Tom) Fipps, Millie (E.J.) Saunders, Noel (Margie) Arens, Gene (Sandy) Arens and leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Welschmeyer, her parents, Lawrence and Leona Fennewald, one grandson, Garrett Welschmeyer, son of David and Sharon Welschmeyer; one son-in-law Charlie Robinson, one daughter-in-law Barbara Jean Wilson Welschmeyer, one brother Lester Arens and two sisters, Adele Stuckenschneider and Natalie Robinson.
