Elvin Riley "Rick" Rickard, 87, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Heritage Hall in Centralia.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.

Rick was born on January 3, 1937, in Newton County, Missouri, the son of Gordon Riley and Blanche Naomi (Cox) Rickard. On November 27, 1958, in Kansas City, he married Peggy Dean Pauley. She passed away on April 12, 1982.  He then married Mary Ann Hwlacizka on December 11, 1982 in Riverside, California. She passed away on September 24, 2003.

Mr. Rickard graduated from Seneca (Mo.) High School. He was a U.S. Postal Worker for 40+ years and retired in 2003. He was a Christian and enjoyed traveling, woodworking, gardening and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Brian Keith (Tina) Rickard of Mexico; one daughter, Nancy Jo Wieberg of Auxvasse; one step-son, James (Katy) Worsham of California; Nancy Worsham (wife of Tony); eight grandchildren, Justin (Anita) Richards of Hallsville, Tiffany Ramo of Montgomery City, Brian Keith Rickard Jr. of Kansas City, Brianna Peggy Jo Wieberg of Auxvasse, Amanda Boettiger of Battle Ground, Washington, Racheal Boggs of Colorado Springs, Jessica Worsham of Riverside, California, Mallory Cato of Riverside, California; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his two wives, Peggy and Mary Ann, Rick was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Donna Moody and Linda Cassidy; and one step-son, Tony Worsham.
