Elsie Fae Boyd, 80, of Mexico, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Pin Oaks Living Center.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Elsie was born on June 25, 1942, in Appleton City, Missouri, the daughter of James Padget and Queen Isabelle (Tillery) Smith. She married Kenneth H. Boyd on October 19, 1974, in Mexico. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1984.

Elsie worked and retired from Pin Oaks Living Center. She enjoyed fishing and going to pawn shops. Elsie always wore sunglasses and told dry jokes to all that would listen. She was an avid coin collector. Elsie loved eating out and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, A. Jean Smith; and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elsie is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Boyd; and three brothers, James Edward Smith, Charles Everett Smith and Kenneth Lee Smith.
