Edwin Gale Lewallen, 85, of Martinsburg, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Columbia Post Acute.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Edwin was born on December 5, 1938, in Corso, Missouri, the son of Forrest and Leona Lewallen. He married Carmalee Risenhoover on December 19, 1987, at Martinsburg Community Church.

Edwin joined the marines at 17. After four years in the marines, he joined the navy and served over 17 years. He was very proud of his military career. After Edwin retired from the military he worked as a machinist.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. He loved sports especially the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals. Edwin loved to watch family members play sports in school or summer leagues and bowling.

Edwin will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife Carmalee; children, Sharon (Ron) Lewallen of Roundup, Montana, Sherry Lewallen of Harriman, Tennessee and Colby Lewallen of Harriman, Tennessee; four step-sons, Leo Risenhoover, Robert Risenhoover, Kevin Risenhoover and Steven (Lynn) Risenhoover all of Martinsburg, Missouri; half-brother, Kevin Lewallen of Vinita, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren, Melissa (Angelo) Patacini of Big Timber, Montana, Shelly (Ray) Salazar and Jason Goffena both of Roundup, Montana, Lee (Jessica) Lewallen of Rockwood, Tennessee, Ava Lewallen of Harriman, Tennessee, Jayden Lewallen and Debbie Lewallen both of Higbee, Missouri; seven step-grandchildren, Brandie (Jeff) Gay of Farber, Missouri, Zachary Stubblefield of Mexico, Missouri, Rusty (Heather) Risenhoover of Ashland, Missouri, Jarrett (Chrystal) Risenhoover of Ft. Irwin, California, Chad Risenhoover of Black Hawk, South Dakota, Nathan Swaim of Martinsburg, Missouri and Paige Risenhoover of St. Louis, Missouri; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Leona Lewallen; grandparents, Rolla and Dora Lewallen; and uncle Leon Lewallen.
