Drucilla B. Walters-Hartig, of Monroe City, formerly of Raytown, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Monroe City Manor Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 14, at Park Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City with Ralph Sytkowski officiating. Music by Carol Mudd and Whitney Pfaff. Pallbearers will be Keith Mudd, Joe Hartig, Ralph Sytkowski, Tim Hartig, Daniel Sytkowski and David Sytkowski.
Drucilla was born August 23, 1924 in Marion County, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Lacy (Pendleton) Nunley. She married Marvin Walters and he died on November 10, 1984. She then married Rey Hartig. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1996.
Mrs. Walters-Hartig was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church. She had worked for International Paper Company in Kansas City for 54 years.
Survivors include three step-children, Karen Hartig, Tim (Cindy) Hartig, Ann (Ralph) Sytkowski, all of Kansas City; special friend, Gary Dinwiddie of Kansas City; five grandchildren, David, Daniel, Joseph, Danyelle, and Billy; 10 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; and cousins, Sherry (Jerry) Copenhaver of Hunnewell and Keith (Carol) Mudd of Monroe City.
In addition to her two husbands, Marvin and Rey, Drucilla was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Wayne Walters; one grandson, Christopher; one brother, Charles Nunley; and one cousin, Mary Mudd.
