Dorrice Marie Leake, 87, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Arnold Funeral Home.

Dorrice was born on December 8, 1938 in Harrisburg, Illinois, the daughter of Sidney and Alta (Hogg) Butterworth. On August 26, 1991 she married Charles Leake in Lake Ozark.

Dorrice was a dedicated employee of A.P. Green Brick Refractory, where she faithfully worked for 31 years. She was a talented seamstress who took great pride in her work. Dorrice loved walking the beaches collecting sea shells, had a love for flowers and enjoyed tending to her own beautiful flower garden. She especially enjoyed watching hummingbirds and Cardinals visiting her yard. Some of her most treasured memories were made alongside Charles as they traveled across the country, taking in the magnificent sights and enjoying their time together.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Leake of Mexico; her son, Mark Vinyard and Brenda Ollar of Portland, MO, Step-son Chuck and Jo Leake of Sturgeon; two step-daughters, Teri and John Helberg of Sand Springs, OK and Angie and Jeff Dierkes of Mulberry Grove, IL; fourteen grandchildren, April Vinyard, Samantha Poole, Mary Vinyard, Max Vinyard, Jr., Jake Vinyard, Dena Osdieck, Susan Hayes, Rachel Madison, Heather Van Duyne, Kason Helberg, Jalynn Carden, Jonna Taylor and Heather Ostrom; as well as twenty-two great-grandchildren and1 great-great grandchild.

Dorrice was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Alta Butterworth; one son, Max Vinyard and her brother, Glenn Butterworth.
