Dorothy Alene Davis, 92, of Sherman, Texas, formerly of Mexico, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at her daughter's home in Sherman, Texas.

A private Graveside Service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, at the First Church of the Nazarene, with Rodney Davis officiating.

Dorothy was born on November 28, 1932, in Mexico, Missouri, the daughter of Curtis Claude and Nellie Emma Mae (Bobbitt) Fetterhoff. She graduated from Mexico High School and went on to earn her LPN certification. Dorothy married Henry "Lou" Davis, Jr. on July 19, 1952, and together they built a loving family. Lou preceded her in death on May 22, 2013.

She was a proud and dedicated member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mexico, Missouri, where she found community and spiritual fulfillment. Dorothy's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing her wisdom, love, and kindness with them throughout her life.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Randy (Debbie) Davis of Mexico; two daughters, Dotty (Steve) Morgan of Sherman, Texas, and Janelle (Dale) Hoffman of Wichita, Kansas; eight grandchildren: Amber, Amy, Amanda Morgan, Ashlee (Cody) Lowry, Matthew (Lacey) Davis, Heather Davis, Bradley (Crystal) Hoffman, and Benjamin (Brittnay) Hoffman; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lou Davis; two sisters, Martha Davis and Betty J. Myers; and three brothers, Jay Curtis Fetterhoff, Larry Fetterhoff, and Garry Fetterhoff.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First Church of the Nazarene in Mexico, Missouri.
