Donnell was born July 18, 1955, in Mexico, Missouri, the son of Edna Herndon and Richard Herndon.
Donnell attended Mexico (MO) High School. He worked at National Refractories for over 20 plus years until they closed doors. He is survived by his wife, Stormy Herndon of Columbia; eight daughters Shadonica of Columbia, Donnise Troy of Williamstown, New Jersey, Doncheial and Amber, both of Columbia, Laneya Edwards of St. Louis, Sheri, Brittany and Brooke, all of Columbia, MO; brothers, Wayne Herndon and Earvin Herndon; and three sisters, Denise Herndon of Columbia, Janice Herndon of Joliet, Illinois, and Marcella Stallings of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He has many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his only son "his twin" Robert Alferd Eugene Jennings; four brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren.
