Don died after a long struggle with cancer on February 19, 2023, in his home in Auxvasse, MO, surrounded by his wife Marsha and brother Steve.

A visitation will be held at the Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, MO on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

A viewing will also be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the LDS Church in Mexico, MO at 1:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held following the viewing at 2:00 PM at the LDS Church in Mexico, MO.  Interment will be at St. Brendan's Cemetery in Mexico, MO.

Don was a very talented guitar player and singer, performing in a trio.  He also performed solo, and in theater work for years in the Fort Worth, Texas area.  He also worked as a highly skilled plumber.  For years, Don was also employed by and eventually retired from the State Hospital in Fulton, MO.

Don was revered for his kindness and his patience.  He was especially humble and selfless.  He loved his dogs and took them for a daily ride in his truck.  He strongly believed in his Heavenly Father.  Don will be greatly missed by his wife, family and a large number of friends.

Don was born in Mesa, Arizona on August 3, 1952 to Thomas Marvin and June (Patten) Arnett.  He and his wife have lived in the Auxvasse, MO area for 33 years.  Don is survived by his loving wife, Marsha.  He is also survived by his siblings, Junetta Arnett Clifford (Harvey), Tom Arnett (Sheryl), Mary Ann Arnett Price, Barbara Arnett Wright (Jim), and Steve Arnett (Bobbi).

Mr. Arnett was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Rex Arnett and one sister, Ilene Arnett Crawford.
