Donald Alvin Bonney, 86, of St. Charles, passed away at 10:36 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at The Boulevard Senior Living in St. Charles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fulton. Burial with military honors will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico.

Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at the church.

Donald was born on October 27, 1939 in Mexico, Missouri, the son of Alvin and Irma (Lees) Bonney. On September 17, 1960 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fulton, he married Donna M. Bock who preceded him in death.

Mr. Bonney had graduated from Community R-6 High School. He worked in construction doing remodeling, then later as a jewelry salesperson.

Donald was a devoted member of both St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fulton and All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters. His primary hobby was woodworking, especially using a scroll saw for designs and creations.  He also enjoyed relaxing by watching old westerns on television.  Donald enjoyed social gatherings and was known for his kindness.

Survivors include three children, Darla Bullock of St. Charles, Dante (Debra) Bonney of Cottleville, and Dianna "Diane" (Tom) Peterson of Winfield; nine grandchildren, Mindy, Amy, Ali, Madison, Nicole, Erica, Danielle, DeAnna, and Dana; 16 great-grandchildren, Austin, Paige, Kaden, Kinsley, Jameson, Joslynn, Harrison, Nolan, Zelda, Zoe, Rose, Clyde, Amos, Prairie, Nero and Millie; and one sister, Nancy Loyd of Mexico.

Mr. Bonney was preceded in death by his wife Donna Bonney; his parents and step- fathers, Dr. John A. Owens and Arthur Schuchardt.
