Donnie Lee Myers, 80, of Mexico, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at his home. He spent the day surrounded by family.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico.

Don was born on July 14, 1943, in Fulton, Missouri, the son of Thomas and Mary (Kennon) Myers. He worked at McGee's Packing in Mexico, Missouri. After moving to Pontiac, Illinois, he worked at Streator Brick, then started his own business, Myers Garbage Disposal Service. He served as the Maintenance Superintendent for Livingston County Housing Authority for over 27 years, until retirement.

Don enjoyed spending time with his family, going to fish fries, watching NASCAR, and was a dedicated supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He won numerous trophies, competing in car shows with the 1963 Chevy Pickup that he restored.

Survivors include four children, Mickie Hinshaw of Mexico, Rod (Debbie) Myers of Mexico, Todd (Dana) Myers of Auxvasse, and Melissa (Galen) Welte of Mexico; 10 grandchildren, Rebecca Hinshaw, Crystal Myers, Brittany Myers, April Myers, Skyler Myers, Steve Kennemore, Stacey Williams, Amber Rhea, Hannah Kaiser, Lindsey Masek; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; three sisters, Carol (Jim) Smith of Phoenix, Linda Wilson of Mexico, and Cindy Williams of Auxvasse; and one brother, Thomas "Spud" (Donna) Myers of Mexico.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren, Tonya Thomas and Steven Thomas; one great-grandchild, Emma Azdell; and one sister, Sandra Fulk.
