Derin Eugene Campbell, 52, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at his home.

Derin will be laid to rest at a later date at Bee Ridge Cemetery.

Derin was born on September 25, 1969, in Quincy, IL, the son of Donald James and Donna Louise (Sweet) Campbell.

He was a 1988 graduate of Knox County High School. Derin was a graduate of University of Missouri, Columbia. He received an MBA from William Woods and his Professional Engineer license. He then went to work for MODOT. Derin was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and past President of Mexico Jaycees. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and playing cards with friends.

Derin is survived by his mother, Donna Campbell of Gravois Mills, MO; sister, Deanna Campbell McWhirter of St. Louis, MO; and niece, Alexandra Campbell McWhirter of St. Louis, MO.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Campbell.
