Dennis Kerr Azdell, 70, of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, north of Mexico. Burial will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday evening from 4-7 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home.

Dennis was born on January 14, 1955, in Mexico, Missouri, to Ned M. and Elaine (Kerr) Azdell. He graduated from Mexico High School in 1973, and on October 15, 1977, he married Belinda Mills in Mexico.

A devoted member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Dennis served as an Elder for many years. In 1979, he founded Azdell Hydraulics and Machines, Inc., a business that proudly served the community for 45 years. He also established Americana Mfg. and Dist., LLC, in 1994.

Dennis was passionate about his church, his family, and his community. He was known for his creativity and had a love for drag racing and flying RC planes.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda Azdell of the home; three children, Travis Mills (Bobbie Jo) Azdell, Jeremy Kerr (Audrey) Azdell, and Lacey Evelyn Van Den Heuvel; seven grandchildren, Raven Kristen Azdell, Race Allen Azdell, Rhae Elaine Azdell, Christian Kerr Azdell, Joselynn Taylor Berg, Adleigh Grace Van Den Heuvel, and Jaxon Paul Van Den Heuvel; one sister, Melody (Pat) Farnen; mother-in-law, Bonnie Mills; sister-in-law, Glenniece (Danny) Rouse; two brothers-in-law, Dale Mills and Brad Mills; nieces and nephews, Jared Buffington and his daughter, Kate, Jenna (Caleb) Frazier and their children, Phoebe, Claira, and Clay, Amber (Daniel) Sutton and their children, Elsie, Eva, Edythe, and Enrietta, Brandi Mills, Chad (Shelby) Rouse, Matthew (Veronica) Rouse and their children, Owen, Harper, and River, and April Mills and her daughter, Theadosia; uncle, Berry (JoAnn) Azdell; and an aunt, JoAnne Kerr.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Ned and Elaine Azdell; father-in-law, Thomas Mills; and his granddaughter, Emma Leigh Azdell.
