With hearts full of love and sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and gram, Deborah C. Redmon, on July 15, 2025, with her two daughters by her side.

A master gardener, a wonderful baker, and above all a devoted mom and grandma, Deborah lived her life sowing love wherever she went — in her garden, her kitchen, and her family's hearts.

She loved nothing more than spending time with her girls and her grandchildren, and her care for them was boundless. She could often be found with flour on her hands and a smile on her face, baking homemade bread, cookies, or canning jam, jelly or her delicious spaghetti sauce to share with family, friends, and neighbors alike. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, where everyone felt welcome, and no one ever left hungry.

She was especially known for her beautiful iced sugar cookies, which she made for every holiday, special occasion, and sometimes "just because." Each one was a little work of art — perfectly cut, meticulously iced, and made with so much love that you could taste it in every bite. And at Christmas, she truly shone — filling her home (and everyone else's) with an abundant array of cookies and candies she lovingly made and delivered to family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who crossed her path. Her Christmas cookie trays were legendary, overflowing with sweetness and her generous spirit.

Her beautiful gardens bloomed with the same love and attention she poured into her family, a testament to her patient and nurturing soul.

Her heart was also open to her four-legged family, and she leaves behind her beloved dogs, Max and Molly, and her two dear cats, who brought her so much joy and companionship through the years.

She leaves behind her daughters Christina McCaw, Nichole (Brice) Mesko, Tricia (Chad) Campbell. Her cherished grandchildren Justin (Miranda) Nowlin, Mary Nowlin, Katelynn Nowlin, Hunter (Lane) Oakes, Halie Mesko, Carter Blair, Chloe Campbell. Her great grandchildren Aubrey Nowlin, and Wyatt Nowlin. Her loyal pets, and countless friends and extended family who will miss her deeply but carry her love forward in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Roger Redmon.

In her notebook that she kept by her chair was written the words: "My circle is small, but the people in it mean everything to me." These simple words were the way she lived her life — treasuring her circle of family, friends, and pets above all else.

A visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, where we will honor her memory and share the many sweet stories she gave us all. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Hatton.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant something beautiful in your garden, bake something to share with someone you love, or simply give an extra hug to your furry friends — just as she always did. If you feel inclined, a donation in her memory can be made to the Audrain Humane Society.
