Debra Kay "Debbie" Hilderman, 73, of Mexico, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Boone Hospital Center.

Funeral Services will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, at Arnold Funeral Home with Steve Kennemore officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is Thursday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Debbie was born on January 6, 1951, in Kirksville, the daughter of William "Snook" and Doralean (Bray) Jones. On September 3, 1966, in Kirksville, she married James Eldon "Jim" Hilderman. He passed away on December 3, 2023.

Debbie Hilderman was a devoted stay-at-home mother until her children started school, after which she dedicated 30 years of her career to Mexico Plastics before retiring. A passionate NASCAR fan, she also enjoyed dirt track racing, was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals supporter and was known for her love of "Booger" shows. Debbie cherished the connections she made through card showers and frequently wrote heartfelt letters and cards to loved ones. Above all, family was her priority; her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and her dogs held a special place in her heart as well.

Survivors include her children, Jimmie (Karla) Hilderman of Laddonia, Jeri (Tony) Kysar of Mexico, Joni (Travis) Unger of Mexico, Juli (Scott) McClain of Mexico, Jeff (Amy) Hilderman of Mexico, and John (Dani) Hilderman of Mexico; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Fusselman of Illinois; two sisters, Belinda Ames (Larry Salter) of Brashear, and Karen (W.O.) Poe of Downing; several nieces and nephews; and her two dogs, Rinny and Sarge.

In addition to her husband, Jim, Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, one sister-in-law, Patricia Fusselman; and one nephew, Kent Poe.
