DeAnna Lea "Lea Lea" Spalding, 29, of Jefferson City, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at SSM St. Mary's Hospital-Jefferson City.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

DeAnna was born on August 7, 1992, in St. Louis, the daughter of James and Connie Mayweather. She was a 2011 graduate of Mexico High School and then obtained an Associate's Degree in medical specialties from Independence University.

Lea Lea worked as a nurse for SSM St. Mary's and Westbrook Terrace. She also was a hairstylist.

Survivors include her mother, Connie (John) McCulley of Mexico; husband, Khorey Spalding of Jefferson City; siblings, DeBorah McClendon, James Mayweather, Samika Mayweather, Patrice Mayweather, all of Mexico, Dawn Smiley of San Antonio, Texas, Jamie Smiley of Jacksonville, Florida, Jennifer Smiley of Hinesville, Georgia, and Lennon Smiley of Walthourville, Georgia; grandmother, Rose Mayweather of St. Louis; grandfather, Harry Clark of Mexico; and a host ofaunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lea Lea was preceded in death by her father, James Mayweather; grandmother, Deborah Griham; and nephew, Kingston Watts.
