Wayne Robertson, born David Wayne Robertson, 82, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at his home after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Laddonia Cemetery with Shanda Galloway officiating the service.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Arnold Funeral Home.

Wayne was born on December 10, 1939 in Bolivar, the son of Henry and Opal (McGee) Robertson.  Wayne was a graduate of Bolivar High School and attended the University of Missouri, where he met Virginia Foree of Laddonia.  On June 4, 1960 he married Virginia in Vandalia.

Wayne farmed for 60 years near Laddonia, as well as establishing businesses in Mexico, Vandalia, Troy and Montgomery City.  The Robertson's currently own Mexico Cinema III and SOS Shipping Plus in Mexico.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Virginia Robertson; two sisters, Carol Foley of Columbia and Barbara Hummel of Missouri; one niece, Vicki (David) Bach of Columbia; one nephew, Eric (Kathy) Foley of Gladstone; one grandson, Nicholas Hoyt of Laddonia.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debra Hoyt; one grandson, Matthew Hoyt; mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Dortha Foree; one brother-in-law, William Foley.
