David Larry "Davo" Dollens, 79, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Harry S. Truman Memorial V.A. Hospital in Columbia.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Wesley Pulis conducting the service.

Davo was born to William and Hattie Dollens on May 2, 1942.

Davo was a veteran who served in the Navy.  He was an advocate for the homeless and less fortunate.  He stood up for what he believed in and loved to help kids.  He has received numerous awards for his actions.  He retired from the University of Missouri as a custodian and loved the students.

Survivors include his three brothers, Howard, Charlie and Jerry; four sisters, Sara Lou, Virginia, Linda and Becky, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Davo was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bud, Bob, Harold; and three sisters, Teenie, Jody, and Ella.

The family requests memorial donations be made to New Hope Cemetery Fund. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
