Danny Lee Gentry, 76, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at his home.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date.

Danny was born on March 24, 1948 in Mexico, the son of Cecil Arthur and Bertha Ellen (Davis) Gentry.  On March 2, 2019 he married Gladys "Susie" Campbell in Eustis, Florida.

Danny was an avid pool player, rarely missing a Tuesday at the Mexico Senior Center to compete in local tournaments. In his younger years, he enjoyed participating in bowling leagues and shared a love for saltwater fishing. Whether exploring antique shops, browsing flea markets, or simply spending time outdoors, Danny found joy in the little things. He also cherished his time with friends in Florida, where many fond memories were made.  Danny's children and grandchildren were his world and he cherished every moment he had with them.  His zest for life and the simple pleasures will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife; Gladys "Susie" Gentry of Mexico; one son, Michael (Teresa) Gentry of Indianapolis, IN; one daughter, Crystal Williams of St. Louis; two step-sons, Scott Stewart of Benton City and Jeff (Marsha) Stewart of Mexico; six grandchildren, Clarissa Gentry of Columbia, Kelsey Gentry of Indianapolis, IN, Gavin Gentry of Indianapolis, IN, Charles (Jackie) Williams of St. Louis, Brandon (Kristine) Williams of Moberly and Hali Williams of Columbia; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Roger (Joyce) Giboney of Mexico, James Gentry of Wentzville, Steve (Deana) Gentry of Mexico and Kevin (Reba) Gentry of Mexico; two sisters, Tammy (Brent) Thompson of St. James and Carol (Deon) Love of Laddonia.
