Damen David
Nicolas Gascic
Mar 23, 1985 — Mar 20, 2023
Damen David Nicolas Gascic, 37, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, in Kingdom City.
A Celebration of Life will be at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, at Fairytale Events on 121 S. Washington St.
Damien was born on March 23, 1985, in St. Louis, the son of Jerry John and Patricia Carol (Worthington) Gascic. He married Billie Jean Smith on October 16, 2015.
Damen and Billie met in October of 2005. She was fresh out of high school. She had moved back to Mexico and locked eyes on him. Their relationship was a very rocky one but no matter what they always came back to each other.
Their best friend Vanessa was always there for them and knew what to say to make things better. She was their savior, and also made things better again.
Damen taught Billie how to ride a motorcycle. Her first time on it she wrecked right into the dumpster and did not want to get back on it. Damen talked her into it and she got right back on it and she learned everything but taking off. She would do a wheelie every time. No matter where they were at in St. Louis, he would get off his bike and hold her bike so she could take off then he would get back on his and catch up to her.
They got married October 16, 2015, in St. Louis. Their friend Vanessa was right there by their side. Damen was so nervous it was funny. Billie had to wear high heel boots just so they could almost be eye to eye.
Life with him was a blast and never a dull moment.
Christina and Aaron took Damen in at any cost. Did not matter if they were together or not, they took him in. Dave was like a real brother to him. They were just alike in so many ways. You see Damen and not too far behind him was Dave. Him, Aaron and Dave were so close it was unreal. No matter what those three did it started out with good intentions but then something always happened. He gave his niece Alyssa the nickname of Sister. When you see him, she was always right there in his arms. He bought her the biggest rice crispy treat. The world became all about Alyssa, Aaron, Damen and Dave. One year Damien, Isaiah, and Austin made a snow man 7 foot tall.
November 21, 2016, his baby boy was born. He gave my sister the name TT. He loved Breylen to death and Breylen loved him even more. Breylen never really got to know his father. November 11, 2022, we got to go get his dad from the bus stop after he got out. They were the happiest people ever. It was a dream come true to him. Everything was about dad. Damen has always been into fidget spinners. That was his thing. So, him and his son got into them. They would go to second hand store regular stores, anywhere to find fidget spinners. No matter the cost they got them. They both could not leave home unless they had a fidget spinner each. They got to go to Dave and Busters for Colin's birthday.
Damen played baseball when he was younger and wanted his son to try it out. He was so excited to go watch Collin, Ryle, and Breylen play. Rylee asked him every Thursdays night at Mexican if he was excited to watch her dance at her recital. He was one proud Uncle that night he watches her dance.
Damen is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Gascic; son, Breylen Gascic; father, Jerry Gascic; sister, Candace (Justin) Gascic; brother, Jeremy (Sam) Gascic; niece, Rylee Long; and two nephews, Collin Gascic and Jordan Gascic.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Gascic; and grandmother, Colleen Murphy.
