Cleo Lunceford, 83, of Thompson, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at his home.

Cleo was born on May 8, 1939 in Randolph County, the son of Willis and Helen (Bates) Lunceford. On July 10, 1959, in Mexico, he married Mary Jane Holsman. She passed away on January 28, 2020.

Mr. Lunceford retired from National Refractories.

Survivors include one son, Willis Lunceford (Kim Garriott) of Thompson; three daughters, Liddie (Jim) Shuck of Thompson, Becky Sims of Thompson and Janet (Billy) Cook of Mexico; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leo Lunceford of Thompson.

In addition to his wife, Mary Jane Lunceford, Cleo was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Lunceford and Larry Lunceford.
