Clarence Edward Haythorn, 80, of Mexico, died Monday, November 22, 2021, at the home of his dear friends Vickie and Jimmy Young.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.

Ed was born October 5, 1941, in McMechen, West Virginia, the son of Clarence and Loretta (Smertnick) Haythorn.

Ed was a long-haul truck driver for over 50 years.  He loved listening to oldies country music, playing guitar, camping, boating and attending car shows with his award-winning restored cars.

He is survived by his children, Larry Haythorn of KY, Rick Haythorn of WV and Loretta Haythorn of NY; sister, Martha Smith of WV; brothers, Tom and Joe Haythorn both of WV; step-children, Lisa Neuendorf of MO, Heidi VanVactor of MO, Chris Hayes of OK and Johnny Hayes of CA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Loretta Haythorn; wives, Carol Haythorn and Paula Haythorn; and sisters, Judy Woolwine, Janice Snyder and Phyllis Langmyer.
