Cheryl D. Groves, 73, of Mexico, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 14, 2021.  She passed away peacefully at Fulton Manor surrounded by her daughters and their husbands.

Funeral Services will be Friday, November 19, 2021 at noon at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Auxvasse Cemetery.  Visitation is Friday, November 19, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until noon at the funeral home.

Cheryl was born on February 19, 1948, in Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of Edward and Ruby (Atkins) Boyd and grew up in Hatton, Missouri.  After graduating from Fulton High School, she married Gordon W. Groves on June 4, 1966 in Mexico at St. Brendan Catholic Church.  She devoted her life to her children and family spending most of her adult life as a homemaker caring for her own children as well as many other children over the years. Cheryl was a fantastic cook, loved Christmastime, spending time in the sun and could play cards and board games for hours on end.

Survivors include three daughters, Julie (Mike) Pierce of Springfield, Lisa (Jamie) Cox of Martinsburg and Lorrie (Mark) Stotler of New London; her grandchildren, Callie, Ella, Tucker, Carson, Parker, Hudson and Harper; one brother, Eddie Boyd of Hallsville; and two sisters, Beverly Heckman of Branson and Lura Simcoe of Fulton.

Cheryl was preceded in death by husband, Gordon, on June 28, 2014; two daughters, Carolyn and Traci; and her parents.
