Charlotte Ann
Rudd
Aug 5, 1953 — Oct 1, 2023
Charlotte Ann Rudd (Rose), 70, of Paris, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, at St. Brendan Cemetery with Kevin Wilkerson officiating.
Charlotte was born on August 5, 1953, in Mexico, the daughter of Charles and Rosemary (Lees) Rose. She married Robert Michael Rudd on June 13, 1998, in Mexico.
Charlotte was a 1971 graduate from Mexico High School. She dedicated her life to caring for others, 29 years of those were spent with Audrain Development Disability Services (ADDS) where she grew long lasting friendships with not only her co-workers but also her clients. Charlotte also taught for several years at the Hart Career Center (Vo-tech) helping others learn to read and obtain their GED.
Charlotte had a zest for living; she was a dedicated wife, mom, and grandma. She thoroughly enjoyed attending auctions and displaying her wins beautifully at their antiques store (Charlotte's Web Antiques). Charlotte was extremely proud their antique store was voted the #1 antique store in Missouri by Missouri Magazine in 2023. When not working at the shop, Charlotte loved spending time with her family. Her biggest joy was spoiling and loving on her grandchildren. In addition to spending time with family, her love of the outdoors included fishing and hours spent in her gorgeous flower and vegetable gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Rudd; her two sons, Charles (Patti) Platte of Fenton and Brian (Beth) Platte of New London; two step-sons, Sean (Becky) Rudd and Eric (Heather) Rudd, both of Mexico; grandchildren Jacob (Briley) Cartee, Jackson Platte, Melanie, Zach, Josh, Oakley, and Dalton Rudd and great-grandchildren Roman and Troy Cartee, Cash and Kason Rudd. Charlotte is also survived by two brothers, Eldon Rose of St. Louis and George (Glenda) Rose of Mexico.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents.
