Charles F. Jackson, 81, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Memorial Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 4, at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Ostrom officiating. Burial will follow in Wellsville Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles was born on February 7, 1940 in Wellsville, the son of Joseph H. and Elsie M. (Dorman) Jackson. On August 29, 1959 in Wellsville, he married Yvonne C. "Vonnie" O'Donnell. She passed away on November 13, 2016.

Mr. Jackson was a truck driver for North American Refractories, W. M. Bledsoe & Sons, Oliver Transportation, Callaway Carriers and Whalen Farms. He enjoyed going to antique truck shows and watching Nascar. More than anything, Charles loved his family dearly.   He thoroughly enjoyed doing things with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Joseph Jackson of Columbia; one daughter, Katherine Jackson of Mexico; seven grandchildren, Jared (Lyndzee) Jackson of Mexico, Joshua Jackson of Mexico, Kyle Jackson of Columbia, Zachary (Brandi) Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona, Justin Tyler Jackson of Columbia, Emma Jackson of Mexico, and Charley Jo Jackson of Mexico; four great-grandchildren, Addison and Amelia Jackson of Mexico, and Leo and Lucca Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Huldia Cox of Cassville; one sister-in-law, Sandy Rabenau of Hermann; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Vonnie, Charles was preceded in death by three sons, James Clark Jackson, Charles "Fred" Jackson II and Michael Allen Jackson; one sister, Dorothy Gooch; and one brother, Eugene Jackson.
