Charles "Charlie" Edward Stuart, 88, of Mexico, died Wednesday, June 26th, 2024 in the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Cort and Jill Stuart of Springfield, Missouri.

Charlie was born May 9, 1936, in Mexico, the son of Charles "Cap" Casper and Marcella (Melahn) Stuart.  On January 3, 1957, he married Dona Jean Martin at the First Presbyterian Church in Benton City.

Charlie graduated from Mexico High School in 1954.  He served in the United States Marine Corps for several years before beginning a long career in the car business.  Charlie loved his family, enjoyed people, delighted in telling a good story and lived life to the fullest.

Survivors include, one daughter, Jill Stuart (fiancé Michael Snyder) Fann of Warrensburg; one son, Cort (Jill) Stuart of Springfield; four grandchildren, Andrew (Anja) Eick, Kelsey Eick, Hailey Clay and Hunter Stuart; one great-grandchild, Josephine.

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Dona, who died on June 20, 2012; two sons, Lance Martin Stuart, who died in November of 2003 and Michael Melahn Stuart, who died in July 1970 and his parents.

In keeping with Charlie's wishes, there will be no service.
