Carol B. Hagen, 69, of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at University of Missouri Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Santa Fe Christian Church, 35546 State Highway D, Santa Fe, MO 65282.  Pastor Bruce Guile will be officiating the service.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Santa Fe Christian Church.

Carol was born on May 28, 1955 in St. Louis, the daughter of Ralph and Jean Bentzinger.  On October 1, 1994 she married Eugene Hagen who preceded her in death.

Carol was a vibrant and active soul who cherished staying busy and engaged with her passions. A devoted member of a fiber society, she loved spinning fiber and generously shared her craft by teaching young people the art. Her dedication to well-being led her to become an active member of TOPS and participate in exercise classes at the YMCA. Carol's love for travel took her to many places, with her most recent adventure to the stunning Niagara Falls. Above all, Carol's heart was filled with love for her three corgis, Jellybean, Simon, and Penelope, who brought her immense joy and companionship. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her son, Eric (Michelle) Hagen of Wentzville; three grandchildren, Emily Hagen, Ashley Hagen and Jacob Hagen all of Wentzville; one sister, Gail Bentzinger of St. Louis; two brothers, Robert Bentzinger of St. Louis and John Bentzinger of St. Louis; two nephews, Jim Maynard and Bob Maynard both of Viburnam.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hagen; her parents and one brother, Mark Bentzinger (AKA Murph).

The family requests memorial donations be made to American Cancer Society. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
